Volunteer Appreciation Month

National Volunteer Appreciation Month is happening now and we couldn’t be more appreciative of all our volunteers who give their time to help our mission! If you’ve never volunteered at the Food Bank - or it’s been awhile since you have - now is a great time to jump in. Whether it’s sorting and packing food, restocking shelves on our grocery floor or helping teachers in Kids In Need, we’d love to have you come volunteer!

Fight Hunger as you Shop at Walmart

From April 6 to May 3, 2015, Walmart is teaming up with some of America’s favorite food manufacturers to make a difference for the hungry. Through the 2015 Fight Hunger, Spark Change campaign, you can support the Atlanta Community Food Bank at Walmart through purchases of specified products, and by donating $1, $2 or $5 at the register of which 100% of the funds will benefit ACFB! For information on participating brands, click here.

Hunger Fact

Then, on April 27, Chef Martin Pfefferkorn of Polaris will show us why the iconic “blue dome” restaurant atop the Hyatt Regency has redefined itself as a downtown destination.
