Community Cares

One ‘Boss’ Auction

Rock out with Bruce Springsteen at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood on April 26 and support the Food Bank all at the same time! Here's your chance to bid on two VIP tickets in an exclusive, sold out section and passes to the E Street Lounge where you can relax before the show and enjoy a beverage from the cash bar. Auction ends April 17, so don’t delay--bid today!

Community Gardens

It’s that time of year again--the birds are singing, our cars are covered in pollen and gardens are ready to be planted! If you have a green thumb and are planting veggies, be sure to plant an extra row of produce. It’s a great way to donate much needed, healthy produce to your neighbors in need. Click here for a Plant a Row donation site near you!

Fore! Mixer

Calling all golf fanatics! The Fore! Food and Drink mixer celebrating ACFB’s Full Course Classic happens Thursday evening, April 10, at Aja. The $20 ticket includes tastings provided by Russian Standard and an incredible selection of appetizers. Try your luck at the pro golf simulator for a chance to win one of three custom wedges. Your swing a little rusty? Maybe you'll have better luck at winning one of the great door prizes. RSVP today!

Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Atlanta is an elegant black tie optional evening of gourmet food and wine featuring chefs from 50 of Atlanta’s top restaurants, live entertainment and live, silent and wine auctions. 100% of the net proceeds benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Genesis Shelter and Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Georgia. Get your tickets today!

Youth Summit

We’re still taking applications for the Youth Summit, an amazing outreach experience for teens this summer. This year, we will have two 5-day sessions for rising 9th-12th graders. The first session will run from June 9-13 and the second session from July 7-11. Students who participate in the Youth Summit will gain valuable knowledge about hunger and poverty, volunteer in the community, and make new friends with a diverse group of students. Applications can be found on our website and must be submitted by April 18.

Braves Strike Out Hunger

It’s baseball season again and Strike Out Hunger is back at Turner Field! Join the Atlanta Braves, Kroger and the Atlanta Community Food Bank as we "Strike Out Hunger" during the 2014 Braves baseball season. Every Friday home game during the 2014 season, fans can get autographs from their favorite Braves Player or Alumni just before the game. Donate 20 canned items or $20 to benefit ACFB and receive a signed autograph from an Atlanta Braves Player or Alumni. There is a limit of one signature per donation. Join us on April 11!

Freedom from Hunger

This year, ACFB has partnered with Ahavath Achim (AA) Synagogue and other members of the Jewish community to create "Freedom from Hunger Passover Second Seder," an annual metro gathering that observes the Passover experience through the lens of hunger. Please join us at AA Synagogue on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. Learn more and RSVP for the Seder meal.
