Hunger Walk/Run is Almost Here!

Last call for online registration for Hunger Walk/Run! Don’t be unlucky and wait until Friday, March 13, the last day of online registration to sign up. Miss that deadline? No worries--we still want you to join us! Just come to the registration tent the day of the event! OPA Circus is back, as are a bunch of family-friendly options for a great day of sunshine (#positivity) and stepping out against hunger! Register today to join us on Sunday, March 15, from 12-4pm at Turner Field!

It’s National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month and the Atlanta Community Food Bank is committed to ways we can get healthy, nutritious food to our neighbors in need. All this month, our dietitians on staff will be sharing information about our nutrition program and what we’re working on in the community. Keep your eyes on our website and social media channels for updates!

Simple Abundance

Chef Todd Ginsberg of The General Muir will bring his own special twist to the traditional Passover meal at Simple Abundance Cooking Class on Monday, March 23. Register today! 100% of your ticket price will benefit the Food Bank.

Dine Out and Benefit the Hunger Walk/Run

Want another way to help support the Hunger Walk/Run? Dine out! Visit one of the participating restaurants on this map and add a donation to your check at the end of your meal. In some cases, restaurants will donate a portion of their total proceeds on specific nights to Hunger Walk/Run. Call your restaurant of choice to find out how they're supporting our efforts.

Youth Summit

Applications are still available for our Youth Summit sessions this summer on June 8-12 and July 6-10. The Youth Summit makes a lasting impression on the high schoolers who participate. Sarah, who attended last year, is making huge strides with her local food program and Mandy, from the very first Youth Summit, recently reflected on her experience. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Food Well Alliance

Recently, the James M. Cox Foundation announced a $1M grant to the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) to establish the Food Well Alliance. This new partner organization seeks to expand access to fresh, locally-grown products and serve as a convener of key food system stakeholders to connect people, ideas and resources around local food. This partnership enhances the Food Bank’s work in fighting hunger and improving access to fresh, healthy food, while providing credibility, stability and wisdom to establish a new table.

Food Bank Day at the Capitol

Join ACFB and the Georgia Food Bank Association for our day of advocacy at the State Capitol on Thursday morning, March 26. This is your opportunity to meet our state legislators and share our anti-hunger messages in support of the food bank network. RSVP today!
