We Are the Champions

Hunger Walk/Run

Together, we can be champions in the fight against hunger. One great way is to participate in Hunger Walk/Run on Sunday, March 10. Come on your own, or start a team. Have family and friends join you for an action-packed Sunday afternoon where we’ll not only raise funds, but also celebrate the work we’re doing. The day won’t be the same without you! Advocacy - Call

Advocacy Champions

Our legislators need to hear that the issue of hunger is a priority, especially as more people are struggling to feed their families. You can help by volunteering as an advocacy champion. No previous experience is required--we'll provide you with all the info and support you need. If you believe no one should go hungry, we urge you to join your voice with ours. Become an advocacy champion today.

Room to Grow

Our Kids In Need free store for teachers has gotten so popular, we needed room to grow! Kids In Need recently moved next door into a brand new, renovated space to expand our stock of school supplies and serve more teachers. See photos and hear what the teachers have to say about it!

Hunger Fact

1 in 6

According to the latest USDA report released in 2012, over 50 million Americans live in food insecure households--that’s 1 in every 6.

A Place at the Table

The issue of hunger is the focus of a new documentary, "A Place at the Table" released today from the filmmakers of "Food, Inc." Learn the stories of real people who struggle with food insecurity and hear from advocates such as Jeff Bridges ("The Big Lebowski") and Tom Colicchio ("Top Chef"). You can see "A Place at the Table" at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema or purchase it On Demand or from iTunes. We encourage you to see it. In the meantime, hear what people are saying.
