Hunger Study Needs Volunteers

Hunger Study

Be Part of This Nationwide Effort

The Feeding America ‘Hunger In America’ Study is underway and we need your help. This is the only comprehensive nationwide study that provides in depth information on the characteristics, circumstances, and coping strategies of those living with hunger. The study is done once every four years, and publishes detailed reports for the nation and each state, including Georgia. We will be visiting over 100 different sites through August 30th conducting client surveys. This effort will require a significant number of volunteers. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how community kitchens, pantries, and shelters operate, as well as interacting with Food Bank and agency staff. Volunteers will be working in a defined role, either identifying clients to be interviewed, or assisting clients with using a tablet to fill out a survey. If interested, please visit our website for more information.
