SNAP Cuts Affect Georgians

Food Stamps Affected

Food Stamp Cuts are Here

As of Nov. 1, 1.9 million Georgians, who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps) to help them feed their families, will receive less assistance each month. For a family of four, the cut will mean a reduction of $36 a month, or nearly 21 meals. On average, these families will now receive less than $1.40 per person per meal. Learn more about why this program is so important today.

Thanksgiving For All

What Are You Thankful For?

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, many of us are probably already planning what we’ll eat. But many don’t have that luxury. The small food budget of struggling families is further stretched in the effort to have a traditional family celebration. Donate today and help struggling Georgia families make this a Thanksgiving to remember.

Hunger Fact

$9.21

This year, ACFB is able to distribute $9.21 worth of grocery products back into the community for every $1.00 donated.
