Sharing the Joy

Thankful Staff

Happy Holidays from Us to You

At the Atlanta Community Food Bank, we are truly thankful for YOU and the support you give us year-round. Without you, our work would not be possible. For Thanksgiving, some of our staff shared what they were thankful for. Now that 2013 is wrapping up, we want to thank you again for all your support with this special holiday card. We hope you have a happy, safe and wonderful December.

Taking the Food Stamp Challenge

Cicely, an employee of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, recently underwent a week of trying to live healthy on a food stamp budget - $33.98 for seven days. She went grocery shopping, kept a small diary and had our nutritionist review exactly how healthy her choices and diet actually were.

Food Stamp Challenge

Double Your Impact

More than one in five Georgians struggle with hunger, and they need our help - especially during the difficult winter months.  When you make an online gift to the Food Bank before December 20, Medlytix will match your donation dollar for dollar, up to $25,000! That means every $1 donated will DOUBLE in impact to provide 8 meals for hungry children, families and seniors this holiday season.

Hunger Fact

From 2000 to 2010, the number of poor individuals in the Atlanta metro suburbs more than doubled, growing by 122%. Help protect your neighbors in need. Ask Congress to pass a Farm Bill that doesn't cut hunger relief programs.
