Food Stamps and Drug Testing
Georgia Rep. Greg Morris recently introduced legislation that would require drug testing before receiving SNAP/food stamp benefits. The reality is that bills of this type ultimately end up preventing our most vulnerable neighbors from accessing the help they need. Read more of our response on the ACFB blog.

More than one in every ten senior citizens in Georgia is living in poverty.
We are excited to announce the return of the Youth Summit on Hunger and Poverty. This year, we will have two 5-day sessions for rising 9th-12th graders. The first session will run from June 9-13 and the second session from July 7-11. Students who participate in the Youth Summit will gain valuable knowledge about hunger and poverty, volunteer in the community, and make new friends with a diverse group of students. Applications can be found on our website and must be submitted by April 18.
