COVID-19 Response: Your Support is Urgently Needed
Our Schools, Communities, Seniors, and Kids are Counting on US
Atlanta Community Food Bank serves at least 29 Metro Atlanta counties, and it also offers school supplies to educators who teach in Title I schools. It has helped a lot of my students and fellow teachers in the past, so now, I desire to help them to continue to provide food and assistance to others. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues to impact those struggling with hunger. The Atlanta Community Food Bank is gathering every possible resource to provide food and supplies to all who need it, but we’re facing a sharp increase in demand.
More kids, parents, and seniors in our community are going hungry as a result of this ongoing crisis. Those who were already struggling face even greater challenges — not only to be fed, but to stay healthy. Nourishing food is the most basic need for our vulnerable neighbors. Your gift at this time is urgently needed and will help us:
- Purchase emergency food to support increased food distributions across our network
- Partner with schools to feed families who have lost access to school meals
- Provide food boxes to homebound, at-risk seniors who can't leave home to purchase groceries
- Deploy mobile food pantries to high-need areas of our community
With schools still deciding on the Fall, we will need more food for our communities if we continue remote learning or proceed in a blended learning environment. Please give now to help those struggling with hunger — and let them know they’re not alone.
We don’t know what the future holds, but we know your kindness is needed right now. Thank you! Let's feed our children, seniors, and communities one meal at a time.
