Welcome to My Bar Mitzvah Fundraising Page

Hello! My name is Adam Berkowitz. On January 15th I am having my bar mitzvah.

As part of a bar mitzvah, we begin to choose how we want to be a part of our community, including giving to others. I have chosen to work with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to collect donations through both a  food and fund drive to help feed those in need. Everyone has responsibilities within our community, no matter our age. Many people go days without food while others have plenty. No one should go hungry.

This is why I’ve chosen to collect food and raise funds for the Atlanta Community Food Bank to collect so they can purchase nutritious food. I know everyone cannot participate in the food drive, so I've set up this page for donations.
With everyone doing what they can to help, the world will be a better place. Every dollar donated will assist the Atlanta Community Food Bank in providing 4 meals for people in our service area. I have set a goal of raising $234 (18X13 - in Judaism 18 signifies life, and 13 for my upcoming age).

Your donation will help the to:
  • Purchase emergency food to support increased food distributions across their network
  • Partner with schools to feed families who have lost access to school meals
  • Provide food boxes to homebound, at-risk seniors who can't leave home to purchase groceries
  • Deploy mobile food pantries to high-need areas of our community
Any little bit you can give helps! Thank you for joining me in this effort.
