Happy New Year!
Yes, it's that time again. The Hunger Walk/Run will be Sunday, March 12 at the Home Depot Backyard.
This event benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) that works with more than 600 community partners to provide nutritious meals to more than 755,000 people each year. These community partners operate and support hundreds of food pantries, shelters, community kitchens, senior centers and child care centers.
The mission of the ACFB is to fight hunger by engaging, educating and empowering the community. But their efforts go beyond that. They live out their mission every day through seven projects; Atlanta Prosperity Campaign Atlanta's Table, Community Gardens, Hunger 101, Hunger Walk/Run, Kids in Need and Product Rescue Center.
So, please donate to this wonderful cause. and maybe join me to raise funds or participate in the walk/run.
For every $1 you donate, ACFB can provide enough food for 4 meals.
With our continued efforts, a child/family doesn't go to bed hungry or a senior citizen is not forced to choose between paying for medicine or food.
Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many!
Remember no donation is to small or to large when it comes to providing a child, family or a senior citizen a healthy meal.
