I am participating in the Hunger Walk Run 2022 – and I need your support!
Thank you all who donated to this great cause in 2021. You helped me meet my goal and helped Team St. Paul’s, raise over $15,000 for the Hunger Walk Run, which turned out to be a Virtual Walk.
Last year, my virtual walk was from my house to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and back. This was over 5K. I loved walking in my community, talking and waving at my neighbors.
The funds we raised, assisted people in need, from our neighbors around the corner to people in North Georgia. The need is still great right now. More than one in five Georgia children currently live in a home where hunger is a regular worry. Many proud seniors and hardworking parents are seeking food assistance for the first time in their lives.
My mother, Mary Allen, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, had Multiple sclerosis and wheelchair-bound. She wanted to participate. Mom said, "It's not fun being a child and hungry." She got people to give and asked me to walk for her. My mother passed in 2011. I am still donating and walking.
On Sunday, March 6, 2022, will be my 11th Hunger Walk! This event is one of the most important hunger relief efforts of the year. We need your support. Please consider making any monetary donation on behalf of St. Paul's.
Thank you!
Cynthia
