DeKalb Food Drive 2019
Thank you for visiting the DeKalb County Food & Fund Drive page!
Super District 6 County Commissioner Kathie Gannon, District Attorney Sherry Boston, Clerk of Superior Court Debra DeBerry, Solicitor General Donna Stribling, Tax Commissioner Irvin Johnson and the DeKalb County Library System are joining together to sponsor the DeKalb 2019 Food Drive.
Yes, We Can help alleviate hunger amongst our neighbors in DeKalb County. Last year, you all contributed 3,099 pounds of food and $535 dollars which created a total of 4,723 meals for DeKalb residents! Our community's low-income working families, children, and seniors are in need and DeKalb neighbors like you can help.
Why donate money instead of cans? It feels really great to empty out your pantry of canned goods, and cans are always welcome! Last year, every 5 pounds of food donated created 4 meals. That's a lot of power in a can. The power in your donation of a few dollars is even stronger, because with every $1 dollar donated 4 meals were created.
How You Can Help
Make a Donation
Because of the Food Bank's ability to procure donated food and its efficient distribution model, a gift made here provides more food than through a traditional food drive -- doubling or even tripling the amount of food your dollar can provide at the grocery store.
That's why we suggest a $5 donation and we appreciate all amounts given!
If you are looking for donation bins to put canned goods in, you can find them at the following locations:
